Councillor Sarah Dickinson, Morag Stern and the Liberal Democrat FOCUS team would like to say a big THANK YOU to voters in the recent local elections.
Thanks to your continued support, Sarah was re-elected to represent residents of Grange Ward on Oadby & Wigston Borough Council.
The result was a little piece of history, as it is first time that a Liberal Democrat councillor has defended a seat in Grange. Naveed narrowly missed out on winning a second seat by just 9 votes.

Naveed Alam & Councillor Sarah Dickinson at The Yews
An extension to parking restrictions on The Yews is in the pipeline, following a campaign by the Yews Harvard Residents Association and local Grange Ward Lib Dem Councillor Sarah Dickinson.
The County Council will shortly undertake the work, which will mean the end of double parking in the area and greater safety for pedestrians.
The official opening of the latest phase of the improvements for Uplands park took place on Monday 14th February when residents were invited to have a go on the new outdoor gym equipment.
The event, which was kept very informal, was initiated with a short speech from the Mayor, and included advice and information being given by the Council’s Physical Development Officers. Now is your turn to give it a go!
Morag Stern said, “I am delighted Grange Ward residents have such a wonderful, totally free, facility on our doorstep. This is a very positive step in encouraging fitness for our residents.”
