Fairer Bus Fares
Naveed Alam and Oadby Liberal Democrats are supporting calls for fairer bus fares for young people. Representatives of the Oadby & Wigston Youth Council raised concerns about the 31 and 31A services with Borough Councillors and Officers at a recent Youth Forum.
Members of the Youth Council have written to the local manager of Arriva Buses to ask him to explain the company’s policies on return fares and concessions for young people.
Naveed Alam commented, “Young people feel that the fares in the Leicester area are expensive compared to similar towns and cities. I congratulate them for raising this issue.”
